Re-Certification Process

Has your certification expired? Undergo the cardiac medicine re-certification process when you turn to us at American Board of Cardiovascular Medicine, Inc for assistance.

All certifications are valid for 3 full years.

Are you wondering how to re-certify for a particular cardiac medicine certification? Here at the American Board of Cardiovascular Medicine, we want to make the re-certification process easy for you. Just follow our 3-step guideline and you will be re-certified before you know it.

It is important to start the process several months before your current certification expires. This time frame is ideal in case you are missing any information on your application. When there is missing information, your application will be delayed. Follow these steps to ensure the application process is done correctly.

Step 1: Make your payment on time online or by check payable to ABCM, Inc. for $125. The late fee is $150.

Step 2: Complete our re-certification application for the correct certificate by following one of the links below. If you are paying by check, you can send in a printed copy of the application along with copies of your CEs or CMEs.

Step 3: Gather all of your CE certificates from the past three years and make copies of them. Since we cannot validate the provider, we do not accept list formats.

We do not accept scanned documents since attachments often contain viruses and scanned documents are often difficult to read. Each certificate submitted must be complete with your name, the title of the course offering, number of CEs or CMEs awarded, the name of the provider, and their State Board of Nursing Provider Number, in order to be considered for approval.
